Bill Sempertegui

Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager of Title Resolution Services, Bill Sempertegui contributes over 23 years experience in every facet of the title insurance field, including title search and examination, experience as a residential and a default title officer, and extensive knowledge in title claims handling and resolution.

In 1984, Mr. Sempertegui began his career at Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company.  As an assistant manager for the Los Angeles County Pay-off Department, Mr. Sempertegui handled the pay-offs on loans and then focused on collections gaining valuable knowledge regarding the recovery of losses for the title department.  

In 1988, Mr. Sempertegui became a member in the Collections Department at Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, a Fortune 300 company traded on the New York Stock exchange.  Mr. Sempertegui earned the Circle of Excellence award as a collection specialist by recovering over $300,000.00 in accounts past due by more than ninety days.  In 1990, Mr. Sempertegui was promoted to manage the Tax Department and was responsible for the administration of tax payments, tax refunds, and tax claims for the Company.  Two years later, Mr. Sempertegui was promoted again to become a Claims Administrator for Los Angeles County.

Additionally, Mr. Sempertegui was an examiner for National Accounts. His duties included being responsible for the examination of all National TSG files.  In 1996, he was promoted to the position of Title Assistant on a National Account title unit.  His main responsibility in this position was to review date-downs of files for publication and sale in the preparation of a non-judicial foreclosure sales.

From 1996 to 2008, Mr. Sempertegui was a Claims Officer for the Western Region of Fidelity National Title Insurance Company.  He was responsible for the administration, examination, and resolution of title claims for direct and indirect agents of both Fidelity National Title Insurance Company and Chicago Title Insurance Company.  In 1999, after assisting in a major claim involving reconveyances, Mr. Sempertegui was awarded the Title Professional of the Year award.
