Terrance W. Stowe joined TRS, LLC. in 2010 as a Partner, bringing 26 years of title, real estate and general litigation experience, including 11 years at Fidelity National Title and three years at Old Republic Title Insurance Company. He also brings three years of title insurance claims handling experience.

From 1971-1972, Mr. Stowe worked as an officer trainee at Sumitomo Bank, Ltd. From 1972-1976, he worked in computer manufacturing at California Computer and Wang Company as a master scheduler and material requirements planner, and worked part time as a real estate agent from 1976-1977.

His first litigation position was with Albertini & Gill, a general practice firm, where he worked until 1982. He then joined the personal injury defense firm of Mavridis, Conway and Sheehan and shortly thereafter did his first jury trial.

In 1984 he joined The Gibbs Firm, a real estate firm, litigating a variety of real estate matters. During his time at The Gibbs Firm, he was occasionally judge pro tem in the small claims court and was president of the Toastmasters Club.

Mr. Stowe thereafter joined Fidelity National Title Insurance Company's as a Vice-President and Associate Counsel from 1993 until 2004. At Fidelity he acted as in-house counsel and represented insured owners, lenders, and Fidelity and its numerous affiliates and sister companies in various business and real estate litigation matters including title disputes, boundary line issues, encroachments, escrow lawsuits, sub-escrow disputes, coverage disputes, insurance bad faith, and business disputes. He was the successful trial and appellate lawyer in the published opinion of Vournas v. Fidelity National Title 73 Cal. App. 4th 668; 86 Cal. Rptr. 2d 490.

In 2004, Mr. Stowe joined Old Republic Title Insurance as a Vice President and Associate Counsel. He continued with his real estate litigation work by representing insured owners, lenders, and Old Republic and its affiliates in real estate litigation including title disputes, escrow, sub-escrow, and insurance matters.

Mr. Stowe returned to Fidelity National Title as Vice-President and Claims Counsel in 2007 wherein he handled hundreds of title insurance claims for all of the Fidelity Companies under the Fidelity National Title Insurance Group. In 2010, Mr. Stowe was promoted to Senior Claims Counsel. While at Fidelity, Mr. Stowe additionally conducted several one hour MCLE presentations on topics ranging from un-recorded mortgages to bankruptcy issues.

Mr. Stowe received his Juris Doctorate from Western State University College of Law in 1980 and became a member of the California Bar in 1981. Mr. Stowe received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Indiana University in 1971.
